Japaul Gold gained about N1.38 billion market capitalization after its shares moved from N0.41 to N0.63 this week to now be worth about N3.95 billion in market cap, having over 6 billion outstanding shares.

Data from the Nigerian Stock Exchange retrieved by Allnews revealed that Japaul gold far outperformed other stocks, as the second-best, Consolidated Hallmark Insurance Plc ended the week with a 12 percent gain.

Allnews reported Japaul Gold consistently being among the top gainers at the close of each trading day this week, as it recovered from its losses from the previous week where it bottomed at 41kobo per share.

The stock is still shy of its one-year high of N1.67, which it reached on January 18th, but is already 1.61 percent higher than the price at which it closed the year 2020.
