Singer Tiwa Savage has sent congratulations across to Nigerian Athlete Tobi Amusan via FaceTime after the latter won a gold medal at the World Athletics Championships.
In a video shared on Tiwa Savage's Instagram story on Monday, the singer told the athlete that she could not wait to meet her and also pledged her support for her.
“Thank you, thank you. God bless you. Any support, anything, I’m with you a 100%.
"I’m so happy for you and I can’t wait to meet you,” Tiwa said as she gushed over Tobi.
Amusan also appreciated Tiwa for her support, adding that she is humbled.
She shared the video on her Instagram page and captioned it; “Humbled ma’am.”
Amusan broke two world records in one night at the World Championship in Oregon USA to win a Gold Medal in the 100m hurdle race on Monday morning.
In the early hours of Monday, Amusan set to the track and made a new World record of 12:06s.
Her winning time will not be recognised as a world record, however, due to a strong following win of 2.5 metres per second.
