Nollywood actress, Toyin Abraham, has opened up on the pressure she is facing to have another child and the recent miscarriage she suffered.
In a recent chat with media personality Ebuka Obi-Uchendu on ‘Rubbin Minds’, she said that many people frequently inquire about when she plans to have more children.
She mentioned that it’s not easy but when the time is right, the pregnancy will stay.
“They always want you to have a child.
"Obviously, I have a stepdaughter and I have a son. It’s just always ‘when are you going to give birth?’
“It’s not always easy but when the time is right, the pregnancy will stay,” she said.
When Ebuka asked if she plans to have more children, she said yes.
The 40-year-old mother of one added that she recently lost her pregnancy.
“I was actually pregnant but I lost it. But it is fine,” she said.
Speaking more on it, she said that she got bloated at the time and was often fat-shamed but she is used to such comments.
According to her, once she is not okay with certain comments on social media, she blocks the person responsible for it because she does not have the time for negativity.
“You know most times, they don’t even know what we are going through.
"When I had such a thing, I cried. I wanted to have one or two more kids and I’m done.
“Things happened, I’m so bloated. So everyone is like ‘you are too fat.
"See your husband, he is young. Look at you, you are fat’.
“But they don’t understand. So when they say all these things, I’m used to it.
"As an artiste, you just have to, or else, you just fall into depression.
“Once I see it and I’m not okay with your comments and you keep going, I will just block the person. I don’t have time for negativity.”
