A-list actress, Toyin Abraham has joined the youths in Ibadan, Oyo state capital, to protest against brutality meted out on Nigerian youths by the operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), a unit of the police force.
AllNews reports that top personalities and other citizens in the country have over time called for an end to the anti-robbery squad, as a result of the incessant killing of youths.
In the past few days, renewed protests have rocked major cities in Nigeria, with the youths calling for a scrap of the unit of Nigeria police.
Abraham, also joined by actor Muyiwa Ademola shared clips of the ongoing protest in Ibadan using the trending #EndPoliceBrutality.
A tweet reads “#EndPoliceBrutalityinNigeria join us we are in Iwo road going to governor’s office”, the actress tweeted.
Meanwhile, Abraham's participation in physical protest is coming in less than a week after some Twitter users dragged her of not partaking in online protest, but promoting her film.
