Why Actor Chris Pratt Is Being Slammed For Calling Daughter 'Healthy'

Why Actor Chris Pratt Is Being Slammed For Calling Daughter

Chris Pratt is receiving heavy fire for praising his infant daughter. His words were a tribute to his wife Katherine Schwarzenegger but fans are linking it to something else.

On Thursday, the Guardians of the Galaxy star penned sweet words to his spouse to celebrate her birthday, saying that she gave him a 'healthy' daughter', something fans were quick to link to his son from a previous marriage who has had health challenges.

"She’s given me an amazing life, a gorgeous healthy daughter, she chews so loudly that sometimes I put in my earbuds to drown it out, but that’s love!”, Pratt wrote.

The actor's 9-nine-year-old son Jack with ex-wife Anna Faris was born prematurely and underwent several operations. He had hernia surgeries, eye operations, and a minor heart issue.

Those who saw Pratt's post on social media called him "cringe and vile" as his words have been seen as inconsiderate given what his son has experienced.

“I love Chris Pratt, but the ‘healthy daughter’ part is made me wince,” someone tweeted. “Although he may not have meant it as an insult, it sort of came off that way. Imagine how that will make his son feel if he ever reads it?”

Another angry fan commented: "Chris Pratt has a kid with Anna Farris [sic] who suffered a cerebral hemorrhage during birth and now has slight physical disabilities because of it. But he made sure to write ‘healthy daughter’ here. Chris Pratt is a dick.”

42-year-old Pratt divorced Faris in 2018 and married Schwarzenegger in June 2019. Their daughter, Lyla Maria, was born in August 2020.
