'Clout Animal,' Wizkid Blasts Reekado Banks Over Move To Drop Single Amidst #EndSars Protest

'Clout Animal,' Wizkid Blasts Reekado Banks Over Move To Dro

Nigerian music star Wizkid has berated Mavin Records star Reekado Banks for attempting to drop a single amidst nationwide protest against Special Weapons and Tactic (SWAT), a unit set up to replace the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).

In a tweet on Thursday, October 15, Reekado Banks took to Twitter to announce that "Gbedu must drop" as he would be dropping "Omo Olomo" featuring Wizkid in the early hours of Friday.

Even though the Mavin records star ended his tweet with the trending hashtags against police brutality, Wizkid said it was wrong for him to drop a song with the current situation of the country.

"Out of control, gbedu must drop. This one with my brother @wizkidayo "OMO OLOMO"  midnight dropping ? Still on the matter !!! #EndSWAT #EndSARS #EndPoliceBrutality," Reekado Banks tweeted, while sharing a snippet of the song.

Responding, Wizkid said "Delete this dude ! Can’t believe you’re even doing this at a time like this. Old song ! #endsars fool!"

In another tweet that has now been deleted, Wizkid addressed his fellow singer as "clout animal".

This is coming a day after Wizkid postponed the release of his album, "Made In Lagos", due to the protest rocking the major cities of Nigeria.
