Mavin Records signee Ayra Starr is warming up for the release of her first single of the year titled ‘Rush’.
‘Rush’ will be released on September 16, according to a post on Ayra Starr's Instagram page on Tuesday afternoon.
The ‘Bloody Samaritan’ hitmaker shared a video of herself singing along to the song's snippet and captioned it; “First single of the year! RUSH 16/9.”
Ayra Starr clinched the ‘Headies’ Viewer’s Choice’ award at the 15th edition of the Headies Awards which was held on September 4, 2022, at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta, Georgia, United States.
She was pitted against Fireboy's ‘Peru’, Joeboy's ‘Sip’, Lojay & Sarz'a ‘Monalisa’, Nektunez & Goya Menor's ‘Ameno Amapiano (Remix)’, Olamide's ‘Infinity’ featuring Omah Lay, Rema's ‘Soundgasm’ and Wizkid's ‘Essence’ featuring Tems.
She, however, lost out in other categories she was nominated including the most anticipated ‘Next Rated’ which was won by her male colleague BNXN.
