American rapper, Cardi B, has responded after she was called out by a Twitter user for refusing to allow her two-year-old daughter, Kulture, listen to her explicit hit collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion, WAP.

In an Instagram live video from New Year’s Eve, the rapper was seen performing WAP in the comfort of her home when her daughter walked in. When she turns around and spots her daughter, she quickly stops the song and exclaims, “No no no no no no no.” She then takes a drink, acting as nothing had happened.

In reaction, a displeased fan tweeted, "So ya daughter can't listen to it but everybody else’s daughter can? @iamcardib AW OKAY ! Exactly what I been saying you have an agenda to push with that trash ass label your with. DISGUSTING”

In response, Cardi B stated that parents are responsible for what their kids listen to as her music is for adult and not for kids. She added that she is a very sexual person but not around her child.

“Ya needs to stop with this already! I’m not Jojo Siwa! I don’t make music for kids I make music for adults. Parents are responsible for what their children listen too or see. I (am) a very sexual person but not around my child just like every other parent should be.

“There’s moms who are strippers. Pop pussy, twerk all night for entertainment does that mean they do it around their kids? No! Stop making this a debate. It (is) pretty much common sense.”

WAP, which was released on August 7, 2020, has received critical acclaim for its expression of female sexuality while some conservatives criticized the track for its explicit lyrics.
