On Sunday, the United States recorded 820 fresh coronavirus deaths in the span of 24 hours, with the total number of deaths in the country nearing 90,000.
The new number marks a new low in the number of fatalities recorded in the country since it recorded 776 deaths on 10 May, with subsequent daily deaths numbering over 1,800.
