Jamie Foxx, Marsai Martin Emerge Winners At 2021 NAACP Image Awards

Jamie Foxx, Marsai Martin, and Steve Harvey were among the winners of the 52nd NAACP Image Awards which took place on Wednesday, March 24, 2021.

The NAACP Image Awards honours outstanding representations and achievements of people of colour in motion pictures, television, music, and literature.

At the 2021 event, Little star Marsai Martin won the Outstanding Performance By A Youth Award (the third consecutive time) for Black-ish. This marks her sixth nomination in the category.

Jamie Foxx took home his sixth NAACP Image Award for his voice role in Disney's Soul, a reminder of his win last year when he also picked up the Supporting Image Award for his performance in Just Mercy.

Popular talk show hosts Steve Harvey and Trevor Noah both won awards for hosting Celebrity Family Feuds and The Daily Show respectively. While Harvey's win was a repeat of the same recognition he got last year, this was the first time Noah got his first individual Image Award.
