Following reports that Kanye West has a net worth of $6.6 billion, making him the richest African-American in the United States, Forbes magazine has come out to say the report is false.
Via Instagram, Forbes said the reports are based on the magical thinking around sales that don't yet exist.
In reality, his real-time net worth according to Forbes is $1.3 billion, as of March 18, 2021. The rapper is still a billionaire, but nowhere near as much as the purported $6.6 billion.

Forbes affirmed that Equity’s Robert F. Smith remains the richest Black person in the U.S with an estimated net worth of $6 billion, while Aliko Dangote of Nigeria, worth $11.8 billion, is the richest Black person in the world.
