AllNews Nigeria learnt that thousands of youths, women members trooped out to seek independence of predominantly ethnic Yoruba states in Nigeria's southwest.

The protest, began around 11.am on Saturday around Mapo Hall.
Some of those who spoke to newsmen noted that the Yoruba nation had suffered enough in Nigeria.
One of the leaders of the group, Bashorun Kunle Adesokan maintained that it was time for the Yoruba race to have their own country.

He said, “Yoruba have suffered enough. We are not in support of the 2023 elections.
“We are telling all politicians not to contest. They should not contest to waste their money.”
