Governor Nyesom Wike has showered encomium on Labour Party presidential flag bearer, Peter Obi, saying those fighting him are doing so out of envy.
Wike while speaking at the commissioning of the Ikoku flyover by Obi in Rivers State on Thursday stated that Obi did very well as the governor of Anambra State.
The PDP stalwart who stated that Obi's defection from the party to the Labour Party is justified alleged that the latter suffered humiliation at his former party.
"We can also tell the Labour people we have worked. And you know we have worked.
"One reason I also brought you is I know you also worked very well in Anambra... Where you come from, 'bad belle', envy... Even me here. Those that are fighting me, 'bad belle'. Do you understand what I'm saying?
"So, some people because of the level you are now, they are envying you in their states. They can come out now and say all kinds of rubbish.
"Don't worry, that is how it is. It os your home person that will kill you first...", Wike said.
