Alexis Sanchez: Reactions Trail Ex-EPL Player's Permanent Move To Inter Milan

Alexis Sanchez: Reactions Trail Ex-EPL Player's Permanent Mo

Twitter users continue to discuss the transfer of Chilean Alexis Sanchez permanently to Inter Milan from English Premier League (EPL) giants, Manchester United.

AllNews reports that both United and Inter confirmed the deal (free transfer; deal till 30 June 2023) on Thursday morning.

Sanchez - who earned a staggering £560,000-a-week at the Theatre of Dreams - moved to the Serie A club on a one-season loan in August 2019 and has made 29 appearances for the San Siro side, scoring four goals.

Upon his arrival in northern Italy, he linked up with former United team-mate Romelu Lukaku and they were later joined by Ashley Young, with the trio playing their part in Inter’s second-place league finish following Serie A’s resumption.

'El Niño Maravilla' became the first Chilean to play a competitive game for United after moving from Arsenal in January 2018, with Henrikh Mkhitaryan heading in the opposite direction.

The 31-year-old netted five goals in 45 appearances for the Reds.

The former Barcelona man could yet have a quickfire reunion with Ole Gunnar Solskjær's men in 2019/20 with United and Inter both still in the Europa League, although the two clubs could only face each other if both make it through to the tournament’s final in Cologne, Germany.

Following the official confirmation of Sanchez's fate by both United and Inter on Thursday, many soccer fans agree he was a flop at Old Trafford.
