#EndSars: Falz Set To Join Runtown In Protest

Popular rapper Falz and BBNaija star Tacha Akide have announced that they will be joining in a peaceful protest against the activities of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).

AllNews reports that top personalities and other citizens in the country have over time called for an end to the anti-robbery squad, as a result of the incessant killing of youths.

Over the weekend, celebrities, in a renewed online protest, took to their social media pages to call for an end to the squad with several hashtags such as #EndSars, #EndSarspermanentlyNow, etc.

The protest began after a video where SARS operatives allegedly gunned down a man in Delta State.

Singer, Runtown had taken to his Twitter handle to declare that he would be leading a peaceful protest on Thursday, October 8.

Supporting him, Falz revealed that he would be at the protest which will begin by 10 am from Lekki Phase 1, Lagos.

"I will be at the peaceful #EndSARS protest taking place on Thursday, Oct 8 by 10 AM. We take off from Lekki Phase 1 toll gate!" Falz tweeted.

"We MUST be heard!!! Thursday is Thursday #ENDSARS," he said in another tweet.

Also quoting Runtown's post, Tacha wrote "No Cap"

Meanwhile, Naira Marley had also scheduled a protest for Tuesday, October 6, but called it off after the Nigeria police force announced that the cries of the youths were heard "loudly and clearly."

The "Tesumole" crooner said the protest will no longer hold, but, as "Marlians" the SARS will be given a week ultimatum to review their activities and if there are no changes, a mass protest will hold.

"We won’t be protesting anymore because there’s a lot of changes being made right now. As a Marlian we will give them a week to see the changes and if there are no changes we will start a mass protest," he tweeted.
