EPL: Bamford Penalty Pushed Leeds Past Burnley

Leeds United got back to winning ways after an embarrassing thrashing against Manchester United as Bamford's 5th-minute spot-kick pushed the Yorkshire club past Burnley.

AllNews understands that Marcelo Bielsa's tactics came under massive criticism with many calling for a change but the Leeds manager insisted on sticking to his tactic which earned him a win against struggling Burnley.

Leeds United top scorer, Patrick Bamford got an overhead pass which caught Burnley's defense off guard but Nick Pope came to the rescue, bringing him down and the referee points to the spot but spared him from being booked.

He stood up and lashed the ball into the right-hand corner of the net to put Leeds United ahead with just 5 minutes into the game.

Burnley was very dull in the attack, while Leeds scooped most of the possession (420) - though, with fewer shots than Burnley, the game stood at 1-0 till the final whistle.

The win pushed Leeds 11th with 20 points from 15 games, while Burnley could fall if Brighton wins against West Ham but presently stays at 16th with 13 points from 14 games.
