Nigerians await the Edo State Election Result. What's more? The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says official collation of results will start on Sunday morning at the commission's office along Ramat Park, Benin-City, Edo.

Another major update in today's (Saturday) Edo governorship election is that the All Progressives Congress (APC) comprehensively defeated the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and Governor Godwin Obaseki at Ward 10, PU 001, Estako West Local Government Area, which happens to be APC stalwart, Adams Oshiomhole's polling unit.

One of the latest major updates in today's (Saturday) Edo governorship election is that Governor Godwin Obaseki of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has triumphed in the polling unit of former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), John Odigie-Oyegun.

Controversial journalist, Kemi Olunloyo has tagged the people of Edo state "dumb and brainless".

6. Edo State Election 2020: INEC Responds To Shooting, Alleged Hijack Of Electoral Materials

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has said it was aware of a shooting incident in Orhionmwon local government area of Edo state, promising to bring all offenders in the 2020 election to justice.

Crusoe Osagie, the Special Adviser on media to the Edo State Governor and the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Godwin Obaseki, has alleged that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is manipulating the ongoing gubernatorial election.

In a statement on Saturday, Osagie complained that voters are being disenfranchised through the manipulation of card readers. He also lamented that an act of sabotage is ongoing in places where Obaseki is popular. Read more here.

8. Edo Election: Nigerian Govt Agency Deploys Hundreds Of Officers, Dogs

As the Edo State Election 2020 holds today, Saturday, 19th of September, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has deployed 13,311 operational officers to check electoral violence and ensure the safety of voters.
