The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has slammed the Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, over his claim that the idea of the Eastern Security Network (ESN) was hijacked by the freedom fighters’ group from the South East Governors.
The group’s media and publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, stated this in a statement on Monday, adding that the ESN was funded by its members in 120 countries around the world. Powerful also said that the group has enough money to fund the ESN. Read more here.
The factions emerging in the Indigenous Peoples Of Biafra (IPOB) are mainly due to financial resources and control, according to a report by the SB Morgen Intelligence.
SB Morgen Intelligence, a geopolitical intelligence platform in Nigeria, in its March 2021 report, which focused on the outlawed IPOB, revealed that the secessionist movement at the moment “is seriously fractured, with many erstwhile key members now either with Nnamdi Kanu, IPOB leader; or Uche Mefor, the enstranged Deputy-leader of IPOB".
