N-Power Promises "So Much" In Year 2021

N-Power Promises So Much In Year 2021

N-Power, the Job Creation and Empowerment Initiative of the Social Investment Programme of the Nigerian Government has said that "there is so much happening this year", asking Nigerian youths to "stay tuned" to their official social media accounts for news and updates.

AllNews reports that the famed scheme stated this on its official Twitter handle on Monday while wishing everyone a happy new year [2021].

It was N-Power's first tweet since July 2020, amid the uncertainties surrounding the fate of the exited Batch A and B beneficiaries, as well as the anxiety among Batch C applicants who have indicated interest in the N-Power programme since August 2020.

Recall AllNews had reported that Nneka Ikem, the Special Assistant, Media and Publicity to Sadiya Farouq, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development last week said that Nigerian authorities are moving to the next stage of the N-Power NEXIT, an initiative brought by the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, in conjunction with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), and targeted at exited batches A and B beneficiaries.

According to the Minister's aide last Saturday, "14, 000 more exited Batches A and B N-Power beneficiaries have registered for the CBN Empowerment Options in the last seven days".

The NEXIT portal - launched in November 2020 - was developed "to enable exited N-Power beneficiaries to log on and apply for the various CBN economic empowerment and entrepreneurship options such as the AGSMEIS loan and the Anchor Borrowers Program (ABP)," Minister Farouq had said sometime last year.

Meanwhile, for Batch C N-Power 2020, over four months after application closed, Nigerian youths are still in the dark about the next step.

More than 5 million applications were submitted in well over one month, with around 1 million persons set to be picked from the application pool.
