'Spider-Man: No Way Home' Races Past $1 Billion Mark To Beco

Marvel and Sony's Spider-Man: No Way Home is officially the most successful film of 2021 as it has made over a billion dollars at the global box office.

The Jon Watts-directed movie is a global phenomenon, becoming the highest-earning film of the pandemic era, as revealed by Sony Pictures Entertainment.

Spider-Man: No Way Home has made $467.3 million from North American theaters and $587.1 million more from international markets, the studio disclosed.

Thanks to movie fans trooping out to see it, the film dominated cinemas at the three-day holiday weekend in North America, making about $81 million from 4,336 locations in the U.S. and Canada.

The achievement is amid the Omicron variant fears which didn't deter movie enthusiasts from watching Tom Holland's third solo outing as the web-slinging superhero.
