Veteran Nollywood Actor Bruno Iwuoha Passes On At 68

One of Nollywood's veteran actors, Bruno Iwuoha, has died at the age of 68.

News of Iwuoha's death circulated the internet on Saturday, with reports confirming he passed on after a prolonged battle with diabetes.

According to a statement released by the Director of Communications, Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Monalisa Chinda, Iwuoha died on Saturday, April 10, 2021.

It reads, "It's on a sad note that we announce the passing away of our elder colleague and active member of AGN, Abuja, Bruno Obinna Iwuoha.

"He died in the early hours of this morning (10/04/2021) after a prolonged battle with diabetes. Bruno Iwuoha hails from Ehime Mbano Local Government Area in Umunumo kindred, Imo State.

"He was aged 68 years, survived by his wife and six children."

Chief Bruno Iwuoha was an award-winning actor whose career spanned several decades. He was a prominent face in the industry until the 2000s. He appeared to be on hiatus up till his death.

He won the Best Supporting Actor award at the 3rd Africa Movie Academy Awards for his performance in the film Sins of the Flesh.
