Following the attack on Borno Community by suspected members of Boko Haram insurgents that lead to the murder of 43 rice farmers, Amnesty International has reeled out statistics on the number of casualties suffered in the community.
According to Amnesty International, ten female farmers working at the Kwashabe rice farm are missing, with 16 others displaced internally.

Further stating that Boko Haram and other insurgency groups must renounce their campaign against civilians, Amnesty International asked the Nigerian government to do more to ensure that the perpetrators of the unjust act are brought to book.
"Amnesty International's findings show that, of the 43 farmers slaughtered by Boko Haram yesterday, 16 were Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs). 10 women working in Kwashabe rice farm are still missing after the attack.
"Boko Haram and other armed groups must renounce their unlawful and vicious campaign of violence against civilians. The Nigerian authorities, on their part, must do more to protect civilians and bring the perpetrators of all such attacks to justice," Amnesty International said.
Allnews recalls that Boko Haram insurgents had on Saturday beheaded 43 farmers during an attack on Zabarmari local government area of Borno State.
Reacting to the development, President Muhammadu Buhari while condemning the attack said that the federal government had empowered the military against the Boko Haram insurgents.
Also, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar suggested that the Nigerian security structure be re-organized.
