Nneka Ikem, the Special Assistant, Media and Publicity to Sadiya Farouq, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, on Friday advised Batches A and B beneficiaries who are still having trouble logging in to the NEXIT portal to "write to support@n-sip.gov.ng"

Ikem via her known Twitter handle claimed that an "instant response" is almost certain when this email is reached.

"This gives you an INSTANT RESPONSE when you write to support@n-sip.gov.ng @npower_ng Batches A & B beneficence still trying to log on to https://nexit-fmhds.cbn.gov.ng Try it NOW," Ikem wrote.

What's NEXIT portal and when will it be closed?

The NEXIT portal, AllNews understands, will enable exited N-Power beneficiaries to apply for the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) empowerment options.

Ikem had on Wednesday disclosed that the N-Power NEXIT Portal “will be closed in a few days”, prompting some sort of rush by some former N-Power beneficiaries to complete their registration.

Since releasing the NEXIT Portal on November 30 2020 - four months after exiting N-Power Batches A and B beneficiaries, the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development of Nigeria which is saddled with N-Power duties have not effected the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Empowerment Programme.

This is despite the fact that hundreds of ex-N-Power beneficiaries have logged on to the NEXIT portal and provided the required additional information for possible placements into the various CBN intervention options.

The  N-Power, cash-for-work programme, inaugurated by President Muhammadu Buhari in 2016 with 500,000 of direct beneficiaries (now disengaged), is spread across the key industries targeted by the programme – Agriculture, Health, Education, and Tax.
