Remilekun Khalid Safaru

He was born on January 26, 1986, in Kaduna, where he completed his secondary education and obtained his First School Leaving Certificate. Upon completion of his secondary education, he moved to Kwara State Polytechnic and graduated with a Higher National Diploma in Purchasing and Supply.

In 2006, Reminisce released his first studio song and also recorded a hardcore rap album at Coded Tunes which he never released because he wanted to focus on his education.

However, he returned to the music industry in 2008 where he performed a rap verse on a track ‘Bachelor’s Life’ on 9ice’s album ‘Gongo Aso’.  He also featured 9ice in his debut single ‘Ever Since’, a song which entailed his life upbringing.

His second single ‘If Only’ was a romantic song that showed Reminisce versatility as a rapper and a singer. The song was produced by Dtunez. The release of his first two singles marked his entrance into the Nigerian music entrance.

Reminisce is the founder and creative director of LRR Records and he is signed to Edge Records.

PERSONAL LIFE

Reminisce is a very private person who has kept his personal life as private as possible. He is married to Iya Hafusa and they both have two daughters together – Hafusa Safaru and Fatimah Safaru.
