Finally, Davido's Aide Apologizes To DJ Cuppy

The dispute between Florence Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy and Davido’s aide, Israel Afeare has finally been laid to rest as Afeare offered an apology for the libelous statement he made against the DJ.

Recall that Cuppy’s lawyer demanded an apology from Afeare after he waded into the feud between the DJ and Nigerian singer, Zlatan Ibile. On Instagram, he accused Cuppy of not paying Zlatan for the collaboration ‘Gelato’ they did together.

In his apology, he stated that his allegations were merely hearsays. He said; “My name is Afeare Isreal. I want to apologise to you, Cuppy Otedola on my last post on the issue involving you and Zlatan. I’m very sorry for the embarrassment it has caused you, your person and family. I want to say, don't be offended, it will never happen again. The statement is false, it was actually what I heard. We've been good friends for many years including your dad. I'm sorry.

On January 7, 2021, Cuppy had cried out on Twitter, wondering why the rapper blocked her on Whatsapp and Instagram despite working on a single, ‘Gelato’ together.

When asked what transpired during a feature on Soundcity, Zlatan denied knowing who Cuppy is.
