N-Power Reps Claim Humanitarian Affairs Ministry Sent Out SMS Over Unpaid Stipends

The 36-state representatives of N-Power volunteers plus the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on Thursday asserted that the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development of Nigeria sent out an SMS recently as regards unpaid stipends, AllNews reports.

In a statement signed by Babatunde Abiola, the Acting National Spokesperson, which was sighted by AllNews, the N-Power representatives stated that beneficiaries with payment issues "have within the next 72 hours to submit the required documents". Read more here.

Customers of Wema Bank Plc who are erstwhile beneficiaries of the Federal Government's N-Power scheme are still claiming that the bank did not credit their accounts with June stipends, AllNews reports.

Recall AllNews reported about a month ago that some outgoing volunteers from across Nigeria confirmed that they have started receiving bank alert of N30, 000 (79 US Dollars) for their June stipend. Read more here.

Independence Day: President Buhari Speaks On N-Power, Tradermoni, Farmermoni, Others

President Muhammadu Buhari said the creation of N-Power, Tradermoni and some social intervention programmes were created for the "weakest" Nigerians. Buhari explained that the social intervention programmes were created to cushion the impact of any economic adjustment by his administration.
