N-Power Unpaid Stipends/NEXIT: National President Sends Message To Sadiya Farouq

N-Power Unpaid Stipends/NEXIT: National President Sends Mess

Amid unpaid stipends from 2020 and the non-implementation of the NEXIT plan, Kabiru Pelemi, the National N-Power President says “in an unjust society, silence is a crime”.

The famous quote is linked to a former Nigerian Senator, Dino Melaye.

Pelemi, via his genuine Twitter handle on Tuesday, also stated that Nigerian youths are displeased with Sadiya Farouq, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development.

He therefore calls on her and the ministry she heads, to pay owed stipends of numerous batches A and B beneficiaries, and also without further delay, effect the NEXIT plans of the Nigerian Federal Government.

”In an unjust society silence is a crime. @MBuhari @ProfOsinbajo @cenbank @APCNigeria @OfficialPDPNig @OvieOmoAgege @DrAhmadLawan

“Nigeria youth are not happy with Hon. Minister r@Sadiya_farouq @FMHDSD

“It's high time she settled Exited N-power volunteers @Npower_Rep s@nnekaikem1,” Pelemi wrote.

Earlier, the 36 States and FCT N-Power Representatives Forum accused the apex government of ‘tactically excluding the option of unemployed status from the NEXIT survey’.

NEXIT is a portal designed for the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) empowerment programme for exited N-Power beneficiaries (batches A and B). It was launched in November 2020, but has not been effected despite hundreds of the erstwhile beneficiaries successfully completing registration. The next stage of the NEXIT has not been announced either - since 2020.

The N-Power council had said Nigerian authorities neglected the fact that the decision to disengage over 500,000 volunteers meant the youths are back to the unemployed population. It had said the FG deliberately used the NEXIT survey “to justify your craftiness, to make Nigerians believe that we were into Business after N-Power”.

“We observe that in your survey of so call Nexit package, you tactically exclude the Option of Unemployed Status from the survey to justify your craftiness to make Nigerians believe that we were into Business after Npower, We are Watching You,” 36 States and FCT N-Power Representatives Forum had written on its genuine Twitter handle.
