Personal Life

Dwayne Johnson was born in Hayward, California, the son of late former professional wrestler Rocky Johnson and Ata Johnson.

He got married to Dany Garcia on May 3, 1997, and their daughter Simone was born on August 14, 2001. They disclosed that they were separating amicably on June 1, 2007. They finalized their divorce in May 2008.

Johnson started dating Lauren Hashian. They tied the nuptial knot in August 2019 in Hawaii. They have two daughters; Jasmine (born in December 2015) and Tiana (born in April 2018).

Education

He attended Richmond Road Primary School in New Zealand and when he returned to the US, studied at  Montclaire Elementary School, North Carolina.

Johnson also attended Shepherd Glen Elementary School, Hamden Middle School, President William McKinley High School, Glencliffe High School, McGavock High School, and finally Freedom High School.

Career (Wrestling)

He made the decision to pursue a wrestling career and got several tryout matches in the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) in 1996.

Johnson debuted in the WWF that same year and between 1996 and 2004, achieved fame as one of the most impactful and charismatic in-ring performers. He won championship titles and was often referred to as the 'most electrifying man in sports entertainment'.

Between 2007 and 2013, he made non-wrestling appearances, briefly feuding with John Cena sometime between 2011 and 2013.

He made sporadic appearances in the WWE between 2014 and 2019.

Acting

Johnson ventured into Hollywood and aided by his wrestling popularity, got his first acting gig in 1999 when he played his own father in an episode of That 70's Show.

He had a brief role in the action-adventure film The Mummy Returns (2001) and got more roles in The Scorpion King (2002), The Rundown (2003), and Walking Tall (2004).

The actor also appeared in Doom (2005), Gridiron Gang (2006), Southland Tales (2006), The Game Plan (2007), and Get Smart (2008).

He founded his own production company, Seven Bucks Productions in 2012, and starred as the titular character in Hercules (2014).

Johnson joined the Fast & Furious franchise, playing the character of Hobbs in Fast Five (2011). He reprised the role in three sequels and the spinoff, Hobbs & Shaw (2019).
