APC chieftain Festus Keyamo has accused the Labour Party of setting the stage to blackmail the judiciary in their quest to upturn Bola Tinubu's victory in the 2023 presidential election.

Keyamo petitioned the Department of State Services (DSS) on Thursday in a bid to get LP's presidential candidate, Peter Obi and his running mate, Kashim Shettima arrested over their recent utterances. Read more here.

Fintiri Commiserates With Family Of Late Ex-Deputy Speaker Ahmadu

The Governor of Adamawa State, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has commiserated with the family of late former deputy Speaker of the state's House of Assembly, Aliyu Isa Ahamdu.

CBN Orders Banks To Work On Weekends

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has confirmed the evacuation of banknotes from its vaults to commercial banks across the country, thereby ordering all commercial banks to open for operation on Saturdays and Sundays to meet their customers' demand.

According to a statement issued by Dr Isa AbdulMumin, the Acting Director, Corporate Communications of the CBN, it is part of a coordinated effort to ease the circulation of banknotes of various denominations. Read more here.

Two Police Officers Missing After Boat Capsizes In Kenya

Two police officers and a Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) official have gone missing after the boat they were travelling in capsized in Lake Victoria, Kenya on Friday.

According to police, the missing police were part of a team of eight officers from the Regular Police, Marine Police, and Administration Police who were conducting a joint operation in Lake Victoria off the coast of Mugabo beach. Read more here.

Two Robbers, 19 Others Arrested By Police In Nasarawa

Two suspected armed robbers, who were alleged to have been terrorising residents of Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, have been arrested by the Police Command.

alongside 19 others also arrested for various crimes in the state, the Commissioner of Police, Maiyaki Baba, said the armed robbers had been giving residents of the area, sleepless nights before they were tracked down by its operatives.
