Southwest PDP Congress: Thugs Invade Fayose's Hotel

As delegates from Oyo State are being accredited for the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) Congress, armed thugs reportedly invaded the hotel where former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose was lodged.

According to Lere Olayinka the Director of Media and Publicity, Southwest PDP, more than 150 thugs invaded the Aenon Suites and Hotels in the early hours on Monday. Read more here.

Pantami Threatens To Sue Major Publishers Over Report Of His Involvement With Boko Haram

Isa Pantami, Nigeria’s Minister of Com­munications has made it known that he will be suing some major publishers over a report in circulation of his alleged involvement with the Boko Haram Terrorist group.

Earlier on, the Daily Independence published a viral report on Sunday, alleging that Pantami was on the Terror watch list of the United States for his ties with the Boko Haram sect. Read more here.

JAMB Introduces New Regime In Respect Of Indemnity Form

Following the abuses and infractions that the old method of processing the indemnity form has recorded, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board(JAMB), has introduced a new format for the authentication of the Indemnity Form “in a bid to fortify it as well as make it fool-proof and devoid of any manipulation”.

Abdulrasheed Bawa, Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has issued fresh directives to officials in fighting corruption in Nigeria.

Bawa during a visit to the EFCC zonal office in Kano State on Sunday asked the operatives of the agency to be civil and humane when carrying out their lawful duties and ensure strict adherence to the rule of law when fighting corruption. Read more here.
