1. More Big Names To Join APC, Buni Reveals

Mai Mala Buni, the Governor of Yobe state and the Chairman of the caretaker committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has revealed that more big names will defect to the ruling party from other opposition parties.

2. Adamu Garba Demands $1billion From Twitter Founder Amid Court Absence

Adamu Garba, the founder of social media app, Crowwe, failed to show up at the court hearing of his lawsuit earlier today, but he is demanding $1 billion from Twitter founder, Jack Dorsey. Recall Garba had sued Dorsey for tweeting in support of EndSARS protest in Nigeria. He has now given an update to his absence in court.

The hearing of the lawsuit held on Wednesday, and according to lawyer, Tope Akinyode, Garba failed to present himself in court to table his case. Read more here.

3. Lekki Shootings: FG Writes British Govt Over Proposed Sanction On Top Nigerian Officials

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyema has revealed that the Federal government had contacted the British government over the proposed sanction on the Muhammadu Buhari-led administration for their roles in the #'ENDSARS protest.

Making this disclosure while responding to questions at the end of the weekly virtual Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting, Onyema argued that the UK parliament members do not have the right to impose sanctions. Read more here.

A civil rights activist, Mustapha Kabir Soron Dinki has reminded the Nigerian government of the promised transition for exited N-Power beneficiaries, saying it is essential "for the children of the poor to continue earning a living".

Argentina football legend, Diego Maradona has died at the age of 60 following a cardiac arrest.
