As Kano Pillars confront Adamawa United on Sunday in Kaduna, Senator Shehu Sani, who represented Kaduna Central in the 8th Senate, says Nigerian football fans should watch the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) more often.

Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa will be in action for Pillars today (Sunday) at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna, after being named in the starting lineup. It is the 28-year-old's debut since moving back to the Nigerian league on 13 April.

According to the Nigerian politician, the nation's league has "players better than Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi and teams better than Real Madrid, Manchester United, Chelsea and Barcelona".

"Kano Pillars FC will play Adamawa Sunshine stars FC at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium Kaduna today. I call on you to patronize and watch the Nigerian Premier League. We have players better than @Cristiano and Lionel Messi and Teams better than Madrid, Man U, Chelsea, Barcelona, and co," Sani wrote on his known Twitter handle.
