In a groundbreaking victory, Nigerians swept the Billboard Year-End U.S. Afrobeats Artists Chart for 2023.
Grammy-awardee Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, topped the list of singers, ranking No. 1 on the chart.
Burna Boy was immediately followed by 'Calm Down' crooner, Rema while Tems, Cameroonian singer Libianca, and Wizkid came third, fourth and fifth, respectively.
The sixth to tenth positions on the chart were occupied by Ayra Starr, CKay, Asake, Davido, and Oxlade.
However, in the Afrobeats Songs category, Rema’s ‘Calm Down’ remix featuring Selena Gomez topped the chart followed by Libianca’s ‘People’, Tems’ ‘Free Mind’, Wizkid’s ‘Essence’ featuring Tems and Justin Bieber, and Burna Boy’s ‘Last Last’ on the second to fifth spots.
