Personal Life

Femi Adebayo is a Nigerian lawyer, film actor, director, producer, and Special Adviser to the Governor of Kwara State on Arts, Culture, and Tourism. He was born on December 31, 1978, in Ebute Metta, Lagos to the veteran actor, Adebayo Salami (Oga Bello). He is a native of Ilorin, Kwara state.

Education

He attended Jender Age for his basic education and then Oke-Ode Grammar School for his secondary education.

Femi graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Law at the University of Ilorin and then bagged a Master’s Degree in Law from the University of Ibadan.

Career

He practised law for two years before pursuing his passion for acting. In 1985, he made his acting debut in his father’s movie ‘Ogun Ajaye’.

He came into the limelight after playing his major role in Tade Ogidan movie ‘Owo Blow’ in 1996. The movie earned him ‘Best Upcoming Actor of the Year’ from the Movies Award.

Since then, Femi has acted in over 300 movies and has acted alongside A-list actors like Funke Akindele-Bello, Bolanle Ninalowo, Mercy Aigbe, Iyabo Ojo and Kunle Afolayan.

In 2016, Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed of Kwara state appointed him Special Adviser on Tourism and Culture.

Following the failure of his first marriage, he got married eight years after to his second wife, Omotayo Sanusi, in October 2016. He is blessed with four children.
