Personal Life

Jason Momoa was born in Honolulu, Hawaii. He was raised in Iowa by his mother. In 2005, he started dating actress Lisa Bonet and they got married in October 2017.

Momoa and Bonet have two children together; a daughter (born in 2007), and a son (born in 2008).

Career

He was discovered in 1998 by designer Eric Chandler and Takeo Kobayashi and was encouraged to continue his modeling career.

At the age of 19, Momoa was cast in the action drama series Baywatch Hawaii, playing the character of Jason Ioane from 1999 to 2001.

He appeared in Johnson Family Vacation (2004) and the TV show Stargate Atlantis (2005 to 2009) before being cast in four episodes of the series The Game (2009).

The actor played the titular character in Conan the Barbarian (2011) and gained wider recognition for his role in HBO's critically-acclaimed series Game of Thrones as the warrior chief Khal Drogo.

He was seen in Sugar Mountain before reports in 2014 revealed that he had been cast to play the DC superhero Arthur Curry/Aquaman. He cameoed as the character in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016).

Momoa reprised the role of Aquaman in Justice League (2017) and Aquaman (2018). His other film credits include Braven, Bullet to the Head, Sweet Girl, and Dune.
