2. Tokyo 2020: Full Schedule As Olympics Kick-Off On Friday 23rd 2021

Tokyo 2020 Olympics will be officially opened on Friday, July 23 in a three-hour ceremony, which will commence at 9 pm (AEST), and run until around 12am (AEST), concluding with the parade of nations and lighting of the Olympic cauldron.

3. Ahmed Musa: Twitter Reacts To Super Eagles Captain's Transfer To Turkey

Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa has left Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side Kano Pillars to join Turkish outfit, Fatih Karagümrük, and sports enthusiasts globally are sending congratulatory messages.

The outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), on Thursday replied a one-time Senior Special Adviser to former President Goodluck Jonathan, Reuben Abati, that it is not a terror organisation that receives illicit funds and does not need drug money for its sponsorship.

10. Buhari Legacy: Over N2bn N-Power Money Unaccounted For To Date

One year after disengaging N-Power batches A and B beneficiaries, the Muhammadu Buhari administration has still not paid the stipends of over 14, 200 ex-enrolees.

N-Power beneficiaries, numbering about 500, 000, were entitled to a monthly stipends of N30, 000 (an estimated 73 US Dollars). However, between the months of March and July 2020, many beneficiaries did not get paid, and despite their constant cries, the government has refused to settle their payment. Read more here.
