Osariemen Martha Elizabeth Ighodaro

She was born on October 26, 1983, in Bronx, New York, the US to Nigerian parents from Edo state. She obtained a degree in Broadcast Journalism with dual minors in entrepreneurship and theatre from Pennsylvania University. She also bagged a master’s degree in fine arts from the Actors Studio Drama School at Pace University.

In 2010, Osas emerged Miss Black USA and thereafter came to Nigeria in 2012 with the initial plan of staying for just six months. She auditioned for the role of ‘Adanna (Danni) in Tinsel and got it, since then she has remained in Nigeria.

As a show host, she has hosted several shows including Maltina Dance All Reality Show, Nigerian Entertainment Awards, Future Awards, Eco Bank Festival Show, e.t.c.

Osas has worked alongside prominent Nollywood actors including Alexx Ekubo, Toni Tones, Sola Sobowale, Ramsey Nouah and Adesua Etomi.

Some of the movies she has featured in include; Hookers in Revolt, Killa Season, Across a Bloodied Ocean, Cadillac Records, The Tested, Notorious, Park Sharks, Restless City, The Department, Where Children Play, Gbomo Gbomo Express, Idahosa Trials, Wurukum Roundabout, New Money, King of Boys, Merry Men: The Real Yoruba Demons, We Don’t Live Here Anymore and Bling Lagos.

Osas founded the Joyful Foundation, a foundation that raises funds and awareness for the fight against malaria.

PERSONAL LIFE

In 2015, she got married to Gbenro Ajibade, a fellow actor, but they got divorced shortly after. The union produced a girl child.
