NSE Market Data: All Share Index Drops Negatively

The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) market closed with 4,567.00 deals on Thursday, February 25th, 2021, lower than the 5,470.00 deals on Wednesday, February 24th, 2021. The volume reached 326,042,400 units at the close of the market on Thursday lower than the 469,562,252.00 units it closed with on Wednesday.

The value of trades recorded on Thursday was N3,713,147,595.84 with the All-Share Index of 40,095.49 a decrease of -0.31% (-125.81) over ’s Wednesday value of 40,221.30

The stock market also ended with an equity of N20.98 trillion capitalization on Thursday higher than the N21.04 trillion recorded on Wednesday
 

Top Five Gainers
Chams
led the top gainers' chart after its stock price gained N0.02 kobo to close trading at N0.24 kobo per share after opening the trading with N0.22 per share, according to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) market data seen by AllNews.

Royalex was second on the table, as its stock price gained NGN0.02 kobo to close the market with N0.27  kobo per share, having started trading with N0.25 kobo per share.

Wema Bank was the third top gainer, as its stock price closed the market with NGN0.05 kobo gain to move from the opening price of N0.65 kobo per share to N0.7 kobo per share.

Red star takes the fourth spot, having closed the market with NGN0.18 kobo gain to end trading at N3.3 kobo per share from the opening share price of N3.12 kobo per share.

Prestige was last on the list after its share price gained NGN0.02 kobo to close trading at N0.46 kobo per share, having opened trade at N0.44 per share.

Top Five Losers
Lasaco
tops the loser's list today Thursday, February 25th, 2021, having begun trading at NGN1.24 kobo per share, only to drop in price by NGN-0.12 kobo to close at NGN1.12 kobo per share at the end of trading.

Fidson was second on the chart after closing at NGN4.9 kobo per share from its opening trade price of NGN5.35 kobo per share; this represents a drop of NGN-0.45 kobo.

EcoBank's share price fell by NGN-0.35 kobo as its share price closed trading at NGN5.2 kobo per share, lower than the NGN5.55 kobo per share it opened with.

MBenefit also recorded a drop in its share price as it declined by NGN-0.02 to close trading at NGN0.37 kobo per share, below the NGN per share it opened with.

UACN completed the top five losers chart after it closed trading with NGN7.55 kobo per share, losing NGN-0.4 kobo from the NGN7.95 kobo per share it opened trading with.

Top Five Trades
AllNews learnt that the top trade in the stock market for Thursday is Transcorp which traded a volume of 48.44 million units worth N43.73 million.

Dangote Sugar was the second on the list with a volume of 33.89 million units worth over NGN611.83 million.

Third On the list was UBA having traded with 27.47 million units worth over NGN229.57 Million.

Zenith Bank was fourth on the most traded stock list today, closing the market with 24.57 million units traded at over NGN23.4 million.

UCAP completes the top five list with 19.24 million units traded at over NGN118.03 Million.
