NSE Index Today: Regency Insurance Tops Gainers Table

The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) market closed with 4,192.00 deals on Tuesday, March 16th, 2021, higher than the 3,527.00 deals on Monday, March 15th, 2021. The volume reached 220,857,225.00 units at the close of the market on Tuesday higher than the 184,528,225.00 units it closed with on Monday.

The value of trades recorded on Tuesday was N4,205,809,076.97 with the All-Share Index of 38,720.81 an increase of 0.41% (158.97) over Monday's value of 38,561.84

The stock market also ended with an equity cap of N20.26 trillion capitalization on Tuesday higher than the N20.18 trillion recorded on Monday

Top Five Gainers
Regency Insurance
led the top gainers' chart after its stock price gained N0.03 to close trading at N0.33 kobo per share after opening the trading with N0.30 kobo per share, according to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) market data seen by AllNews.

Guinness was second on the chart, as its stock price gained NGN2.30 kobo to close the market with N25.30 kobo per share, having started trading with N23.00 kobo per share.

Jaiz Bank been third on the gainers' list closed the market with NGN0.68 kobo per share from the opening price of N0.62 kobo per share which represents an increase of N0.06 kobo gain in the share price.

VitaFoam takes the fourth spot, having closed the market with NGN0.40 kobo gain to end trading at N7.75 kobo per share from the opening share price of N7.35 kobo per share.

Livestock Feeds was last on the list after its share price gained NGN0.07 kobo to close trading at N1.90 kobo per share, having opened trade at N1.83 per share.

Top Five Losers

Insurance tops the decliners' list today Tuesday, March 16th, 2021, having begun trading at NGN0.55 kobo per share, only to drop in price by NGN-0.05 kobo to close at NGN0.50 kobo per share at the end of trading.

Africa Prudential Feeds was second on the chart after closing at NGN5.00 kobo per share from its opening trade price of NGN5.45 kobo per share; this represents a drop of NGN-0.45 kobo.

Fidelity Bank also recorded a drop in its share price as it declined by NGN-0.16 kobo to close trading at NGN2.23 kobo per share, below the NGN2.39 kobo per share it opened with.

Eco Bank share price fell by NGN-0.30 kobo as its share price closed trading at NGN4.85 kobo per share, lower than the NGN5.15 kobo per share it opened with.

Guaranty Trust Bank completed the top five decliners chart after it closed trading with NGN28.50 kobo per share, losing NGN-1.45 kobo from the NGN29.95 kobo per share it opened trading with.

AllNews learnt that the top trade in the stock market for Tuesday 16th March 2021 is UBA which traded a volume of 24.41 million units worth over N171.57 million.

Access Bank is the second on the list with a volume of over 19.13 million units worth over NGN148.12 million.

Third On the list is Mutual benefit having traded with 17.88 million units worth N6.85 Billion.

AxaMansard was fourth on the most traded stock market list today, closing the market with N17.45 million units traded at over NGN17.28 million.

Gtbank completes the top five list with over 16.33 million units traded at over NG470.57 Million.
